Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) is an authoritative body of Punjab province and there are nine (09) boards functioning including Lahore Board. Lahore Board conducts the 5th and 8th class exams for the district comes under its authority and these districts are Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Okara, Sheikhupura district. PEC contains the responsibility to issue the roll number slips and conducts the exams. The administrative body develops the papers for final exams and gets them printed and sends to each board. It ensures that all the students attempted the paper in a fair and unbiased environment. PEC is responsible to issues the schedule for primary and middle classes and for this purpose there are several authorities to hold the exams. These authorities conduct the exams and announce the results. In Lahore the 5th and 8th class exams are conducted by Lahore Board.
