In order to be classified as happy marriage, this simply means that whole state of well being is ensured, excitement is always there and the functionality of the relationship is going on strongly.However maintaining marriage to be successful is difficult but can be attained with the effort, quality time and effort of both partners. Marriages will be kept happy and healthy if both spouses will respect each others feeling, constants communication must continuous as much as possible and there must be a joint force of helping each other in making life easier.
The first key is “Sacrifice”
You have to think and putting your partner's happiness and feelings over yours.  This will make the marriage happy and well functioning. The sacrifices that you are making don’t mean to be huge at all times.  Even simple things in our every day’s lives count. Always remember the saying big things came from small beginning.

The Second key is “Kindness”
There are small things that were not done correctly tend to annoy spouses. We must avoid commenting or arguing. For example, leaving dirty dishes in the sink or not squeezing the toothpaste from the bottom of the tube may drive you crazy. The key to a happy marriage is to overlook the irritating small issues because there may be bigger issues to worry about. If your spouse has a habit that annoys you, but is not hurting anyone -- do your best to ignore it.

The Third key is “Sharing” Responsibilities

There’s a saying the two heads is better than one.  It also follows that four hands works better than two and four legs moves faster than two.  The couples must share in the household responsibilities.  This is also one of the secrets of happy marriage. This doesn’t usually means that the workload must always be equal.  Just try to make sure that one partner does not feel that they are taking on more responsibilities than they can handle. Divide domestic responsibilities fairly by rotating chores and doing the not-so-favorable chores together. Sharing responsibilities will help to create a bond and a feeling of accomplishment. 

The Fourth key is Open” Communication”
Always communicate with your spouse.  Tell an anything whether huge or small problems, happy or sad matters, any concerns or ideas, everything under the sun that will keep the lines of communication open. Failure to inform your partner of something that is bothering you can lead to unhappiness, which can be avoided by having a discussion about the problem. Tell your spouse what's bothering you, and how you feel as often as you can. You will be one step closer to maintaining a happy, healthy marriage. Understand that in every relationship, you will have differences that are irreconcilable; the idea is to come to terms with your differences and accept them.

The Fifth Key is “Spontaneity”

It always pays to be unpredictable and full of surprises in order to keep your marriage exciting and fun. Boredom always begins with routine.  This makes and forces us to crave and desire for more leveled things. Keep your relationship stimulating by doing something unexpected such as planning last minute vacations, purchasing surprise gifts or doing unexpected favors. 

The Sixth Key is “Balance” of both the Negatives with Positives
Understanding and consideration for your partner’s needs and wants leads towards long-lasting marriage. If you feel you've made a negative impact on your spouse, make some positive gestures to balance it out and make up for it. Take responsibility for creating the positive atmosphere that will help your marriage thrive. For example, if you forget to do the dishes on Monday night, do a few extra chores on Tuesday night to compensate for your lack thereof on Monday
