Incrases CPC:

If your business has a website or blog, populating it with Google AdSense ads is a good way to make a bit of extra income from your visitors. Whenever a visitor clicks on an AdSense ad or makes a purchase from an ad on your site, you receive compensation that may range from a few pennies to several dollars, based on a "cost per click" or CPC formula set by Google. If your AdSense CPC is too low, you can boost it by making a few changes to your website.
Navigate to the Google AdWords search tool (link in Resources) and search for a word, phrase or category in which you are interested. The tool will display a list of terms related to the keywords you entered. You'll see how many people search for that term monthly as well as competition for the term. Higher competition means many other people are using that term on their blogs, so it's harder to get a high CPC from it.
Step 2
Click the "Columns" drop-down menu on the AdWords search tool; then click "Approximate CPC (Search)" and "Apply." This will reveal the average CPC for each keyword in this list. Look for keywords with a high CPC.
Step 3
Select a niche for your website based on a combination of factors. Choose keywords that have high CPC, many monthly searches and ideally, low to medium competition. Some examples of popular, well-paying niches include electronics, online moneymaking, SEO, real estate, credit cards and blogging. Niches such as pets, dating, movies and education have less competition but they won't have the highest-paying AdSense ads, so your CPC will be lower.
Step 4
Create content for your website that's closely related to your chosen niche and keywords. For example, if you have a blog about training dogs, don't fill it with random articles about cooking, TV shows or other unrelated topics. A focused blog is much more likely to get a high CPC from ads.
Step 5
Provide a meaningful experience for visitors to your blog. Write helpful and authoritative articles that keep visitors interested and entice them to return for more. If your blog is filled with low quality content, people won't visit and no one will click your AdSense ads.
Step 6
Direct targeted traffic to your site. Don't just try to get anyone and everyone to visit your site, as that will generate low quality traffic. Targeted traffic and visitors who are interested in your site's topic are more likely to convert to a high CPC. Look for targeted traffic on forums or other blogs related to your own blog's niche.
Step 7
Put fewer AdSense ads on each page of your website. This may seem counterproductive but too many ads will annoy your visitors, causing them to leave without clicking any of your ads. Fewer ads seem less intrusive, so visitors are more likely to click one.
Step 8
Boost your site's Google page rank so more people will find it, resulting in more ad clicks. One way to do this is to create backlinks to your site. Leave your site's URL on a variety of reputable websites by posting it in your forum signature or blog post comments. Not all sites allow backlinking, so check the rules before attempting to do so. Many guides are available online that will help you increase page rank (see Resources).
