Everything You Need For a Car Wash

The goal of most drivers is to keep their vehicles clean as much as possible. It doesn't take long before dirt builds up and your car, truck, SUV, or other vehicle starts to look pretty darn messy. An unsightly car makes it seem like you simply don't take any pride in its appearance. The good news is all it takes is a simple car wash to keep it looking great. Just don't forget to gather up these types of detailing equipment to do the best job you can:
Sponges and towels -- These are the basic types of detailing equipment that you'll need to wash your car. Although there are some mildly expensive sponges on the market, most of them are the same so you don't have to be too picky. As long as they're not abrasive, you're good to go. As for towels, only use microfiber cloths because they won't leave fibers behind. Another great choice is a microfiber wash mitt, which can make the job even easier.
Professional cleaning product -- Most owners opt to use a professional cleaner when they wash their vehicles. There are a number of products on the market in auto shops or even most department stores (though an auto shop typically has more choices). These cleaning products are specially designed to fight dirt and grime that sticks to your vehicle without harming the paint.
Brushes for the exterior and interior -- There are many types of brushes available that will help you detail your vehicle. These should be used when you want to go above and beyond the basic wash, including a detailing of the interior. This will take a little more time, but the results will be outstanding. Every person's detailing equipmentshould include well-designed brushes like the A5D or A7D. Also don't forget a brush for the calipers and spokes, plus one that will clean the wheel and fender.
Wax and sealant -- Washing your car will leave it looking great, but for a real shine that will make it absolutely sparkle, nothing beats a good waxing. You can apply wax by hand or use a spray-on version, each with its own pros and cons. For even better results, you can buff the vehicle as well. And if you'd like to protect your paint job from the elements, also apply a sealant at regular intervals. This will keep dirt, grime, and other roadway materials away from the exterior.
If you truly want to treat your vehicle with care, it's important that you give it a good wash once a week, if possible. By following the above suggestions on the choices you should make in detailing equipment, your vehicle will look great for years to come.
